Pasadena, CA - Hilary Carol Cruz, Miss Colorado has been crowned Miss Teen U.S.A. 2007 on August 24th during a live two-hour television broadcast held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California with competitions in swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Judging the event this year was Coty Beauty Vice President Jay Clarke, Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks, William Morris Agency's Senior Vice President John Ferriter, actress Melissa Joan Hart, former Miss Teen USA 2004 and "Days of our Lives" actress Shelley Hennig, actor Joey Lawrence, Warner Brothers Records Vice President of Artist Development Nick Light, professional skateboarder and MTV's "My Life of Ryan" star Ryan Sheckler, "Friday Night Lights'" actress Aimee Teegarden, and President of YMI Jeans David Vered.
Runner ups placing 2nd to 5th was Alyssa Campanella, Miss New Jersey, Kaitlin Coble, Miss North Carolina, Lauren Caitlin Upton, Miss South Carolina and Chelsea Welch, Miss West Virginia and with the photogenic and congeniality awards going to Allison Farrow, Miss Maryland and Anne Elise Parks, Miss Mississippi.

Meanwhile one Miss Teen USA contestant is making headlines, as Miss Teen South Carolina Teen USA Lauren Caitlin Upton unintentionally has made herself a viral video star not only for placing third runner-up in the pageant, but because of her response during the question-and-answer portion of the competition.
