| A: Nothing. Registration for Pageant People is completely free of charge to everyone and takes just a couple of minutes. |
| Q: How come when I log in through my AOL browser I have a hard time viewing the Pageant People website or updating my profile image? |
| A: If you're using an AOL browser or a Prodigy browser, you may have some problems updating your profile through those internet browsers. To correct the problem, go ahead and connect to the internet through AOL/Prodigy, and then once you're connected minimize that window and open an Internet Explorer or Firefox browser in a separate window to log back into the site. You should then be able to update all of your information. If you are still having problems, please contact us for assistance. |
| Q: Will PageantPeople.com protect my privacy with regard to my personal information? |
| A: Yes, at Pageant People we are firmly committed to the protection of your privacy. We will never sell, share, distribute or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third parties. It is up to you to decide what personal information you wish to post on your own business profile. Please read our privacy policy for more details. The fields in your profile you decide to leave blank will not show up on your profile at all, so if you wish to not fill in your phone number or email it will not look like empty spaces. |
| Q: How long does it take until I can see my profile on the internet? |
| A: Your free profile will be live and available for viewing and updating immediately upon registration. |
| Q: How long will the registration process take? |
| A: At registration you will be asked to create a username and password to log into the site. You will then be sent an email to confirm your registration by clicking the link. Once you have confirmed your email, you will have the capability to log in and create your new profile and access the forums. The entire process should take just a few minutes. |
| Q: Is there a limit to the number of updates I can make to my profile? |
| A: There is no limit to the number of updates that you can to make to your Pageant People profile. Updates will take effect immediately as you submit them. If you do not instantly see the changes you have made to your profile page, click the refresh button in the top of your browser. |
| Q: What if I don't have a photo ready when I register my Pageant People account? |
| A: We have provided you with several avatars to use in place of a professional photo, or until you can provide your own photo. When you first register your account, our site default profile image will be displayed until you select a photo from our image gallery or upload your own photo for display. If at any time you choose to delete your photo, your profile photo will revert back to the default image until you select or upload another display photo. If you are a pageant or pageant-related business you may also want to upload your professional logo to use as your profile photo. |
| Q: Why won't my image upload to my profile? |
| A: Images for upload must be formatted to size at no larger than 85KB and 200 x 225 pixels, and can be sized using any software imaging program. Optimized images should be 72 dpi. If your image has been formatted to the correct size and you are still having problems, please contact us for assistance. |
| Q: I want to exchange links with Pageant People. Do you have a link exchange program at PageantPeople.com? |
A: If you have a website that falls into one of the categories of our members section and would like to exchange links with us, simply create a free Pageant People profile and include your link in the field marked URL.
